Manchester City begin the post-Guardiola era under Enzo Maresca after a 2025-26 season that ended second in the league with the FA Cup and the League Cup. Captain Rúben Dias, Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Rayan Cherki and summer signings Elliot Anderson, Enzo Fernández and Iliman Ndiaye make up a new-look squad, in an Etihad Stadium enlarged to 61,038 seats by the new North Stand. The home season brings Paris Saint-Germain, AEK Athens, Napoli and Sporting CP in the Champions League, a League Cup tie with Brighton, and the derby against United on 20 March 2027.
