Both Manchester clubs play Champions League football in 2026-27, and between them there is a home game at Old Trafford or the Etihad Stadium almost every week. This page gathers the 41 remaining home fixtures of Manchester United and Manchester City, from Saturday 10 October 2026 to Sunday 30 May 2027, with the competition, the kick-off status and a ticket alert for every match.
Manchester football tickets in 2026-27: two clubs, two stadiums
Old Trafford, in Trafford to the south-west of the centre, is the largest club ground in the United Kingdom with 74,158 seats. The Etihad Stadium, on the Etihad Campus in east Manchester, holds 61,038 for football since its rebuilt North Stand, now named after Pep Guardiola, opened on 24 May 2026; its record crowd, 60,765, came against Coventry City on 5 September 2026. The two grounds stage 7 Champions League nights this season: Man City v Paris Saint-Germain on 14 October; Man City v AEK Athens on 20 October; Man United v AS Roma on 3 November; Man City v Napoli on 24 November; Man United v RB Leipzig on 8 December; Man United v Bayern Munich on 20 January; Man City v Sporting CP on 27 January.
Both dugouts have changed. Enzo Maresca, appointed on 29 June 2026, has replaced Pep Guardiola at City after a season that brought the FA Cup and the League Cup and a second-place finish. Michael Carrick, in charge since January 2026, took United to third place and back into the Champions League. City won the first derby of 2026-27, 1-0 at Old Trafford on 13 September; the return is at the Etihad on Saturday 20 March 2027.
How Manchester football tickets are sold
Neither club sells most of its seats on an open market. Season-ticket holders fill the majority of both grounds, then paying members are offered what remains, match by match. At United that means the Official Membership; the club says its website, its travel partner Sportsbreaks and official hospitality providers are the only legitimate sources. At City it is the Cityzens Matchday Membership, where your attendance history decides how early your sale window opens.
Manchester football tickets for the biggest games
The fixtures that sell out fastest are predictable: the derby, Liverpool at both grounds (Man United on 23 January and Man City on 8 May), Arsenal and Chelsea, and the European nights against Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli, Bayern Munich and AS Roma. For those, plan on membership history, hospitality, or a resale marketplace with its risks.
Manchester football tickets that are easier to find
Games against the three promoted clubs, Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City, midweek winter league fixtures and the League Cup tie between City and Brighton on 28 October are the realistic targets for a first visit. The resale market says the same: the cheapest listings are for these games.
Manchester football tickets and the law on resale
Under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, selling a ticket for a designated match (every Premier League game) without the club’s written authorisation is an offence in England and Wales, punishable by an unlimited fine. Both clubs can cancel tickets bought outside their channels. We show the resale market price for each match because people search for it, but always say clearly that it is not the club’s price.
